EL AÑO PASADO EN DIWALI {LAST YEAR IN DIWALI}
El Diwali, es una fiesta religiosa conocida también como el «festival de las luces», que celebran miembros de varias religiones en India. Durante el Diwali, celebrado una vez al año, la gente estrena nuevas ropas, comparte dulces y hace explotar petardos y fuegos artificiales. Es la entrada del nuevo año hindú, y una de las noches más significativas y alegres del año.
La divinidad que preside esta festividad es Lakshmí, consorte del dios Vishnú. Ella es quien otorga la prosperidad y la riqueza. También el dios Ganesha es especialmente venerado ese día. En el Este del país se venera particularmente a la diosa Kali.
Diwali is an official holiday in India,Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Mauritius, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Suriname, Malaysia, Singapoe, and Fiji.
The name "Diwali" is a contraction of "Deepavali" (Sanskrit: दीपावली Dīpāvalī), which translates into "row of lamps". Diwali involves the lighting of small clay lamps (diyas or dīpas) in Sanskrit: दीप) filled with oil to signify the triumph of good over evil. These lamps are kept on during the night and one's house is cleaned, both done in order to make the goddess Lakshmi feel welcome. Firecrackers are burst in order to drive away evil spirits. During Diwali, all the celebrants wear new clothes and share sweets and snacks with family members and friends.

Toda la ciudad, estaba iluminada con luces de esperanza y diversión. La belleza de este festival se celebra de diferentes formas en todas las ciudades de la India, desde luego junta a las personas y refuerza los lazos del amor y amistad.
The entire city was lit up with lights of festive joy and hope. The beauty of the festival is that though celebrated in different ways by different people, it brings together everybody and strengthens the bond of love.

Este año, Diwali ha sido en Octubre, pero yo me estaba acordando del año pasado.
This year, Diwali was last days in October, but I was remembering last year´s and I had to write about it.

ResponderEliminarQue maravilla que explosión de luces y colores,que envidia tu viaje, me encantaría visitar la India, pero de momento me conformaré con esos 3 días en Portugal, a por cierto no me quejo po rla lluvia me quejo por el chaparron continuo que nos cayo, si yo estoy deseando que haga frio, besostes guapa
