PRIMER AÑO, LO MÁS IMPORTANTE {FIRST YEAR, HIS MOST IMPORTANT THINGS}

  1. Today is my sweet boy´s birthday, he´s not one year old, or two, not even three....but 24!, I can´t believe this!.
  1. 24 years and 9 months ago today, I also started a diary for the one who was going to be my second child. It´s been quite easy to keep records of the first years of his life, because I´ve had many anecdotes from him to write. The first page officially began like this. The second also said the same, I WASN´T PREGNANT!. But I knew I was.

  1. Oh god, how couldn´t I realise that each one needs different time to accomplish everything. We´re not the same, my baby boy needed sometime to be introduced....he needed his time to have his mouth full of teeth, his time for......well....his time!.
  1. And like with my other child, everything was about another unknown creature, but this time we were practical, I had to change the bow of the cradle because it was still pink and I didn´t want last minute surprises, the cradle was at home, and it wasn´t going to go anywhere. Yes, this time we wanted to know the gender of the baby.
  1. And you´re quite old my love,  because your ultrasound wasn´t 3D either.
  1. We had been practising on her sister for 4 years already, and we didn´t care about being sexist or not, we had realised that there are things you can´t change, no matter how hard you try. Besides, we wanted to "prepare" our daughter for this arrival, who instead of showing a jealous behaviour, was thrilled thinking she was going to have her own flesh and blood doll, ready to be controlled....but today I´m not going to write about a person whose muse at that time was a dolphins tamer Barbie.
  1. Oh I know what his priorities were at that time during his first year. To have an absolute devoted mother, who could spend 24 hours looking at his wonderful nose, her huge eyes, and touching his head, he loved and still loves that. I wasn´t a first time mother and I didn´t cry at all.
  1. To have those silly hours covered by another devoted father....and the best baby sitter ever!.
  1. Or to eat, it didn´t matter if I was breasfeeding him, his fruit puré, baby food or the soup his sister gave to him when nobody was looking (he was her doll).
  1. And to be like this was one of his favourite things
Y así
  1. And like this
Y así
  1. And like this
  1. And I could go on to infinity and beyond.
Así estaba siempre, soriente y feliz.
  1. That´s why he was such a happy child.
  1. He looked quiet sometimes, but he had this "hidden agenda" thing inside, I don´t know why I didn´t realise earlier.
  1. Then, he felt really confident playing with one of his favourites elements.....water naturally, and he wasn´t a year old yet!.
  1. When I thought he was calm and moving out from all his extreme activities, the truth was that he was simply observing and thinking how to act again.
  1. And no matter he couldn´t blow his first candle, but he liked the tart very much.
  1. And I´m sure he was really happy that first year and I´m sure he is very happy right now, he has that "charm" that the rest of the family doesn´t. He comes to you, touches you, hugs you, talks to you.......oh and this is when I falter.
  1. One of the most important things in his life are his friends and his girlfriend of course. I like just the way he is.
  1. Oooops, I said his friends and there are some missing up here. I think there´s still one missing.
  1. And whenever he wants, he can read his diaries wich are full of life.
  1. I really enjoyed, and with a broad smile on my face, every single hour of the 8.760 hours of your first year, and I also enjoyed the following 210.240. I love you my sweet boy. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
¡LISTO! / DONE!
